| My home where I write my books |
I grew up in the little town of Arcola Illinois and that is where I
raised my three children. We
moved to Florida in 1996. We were on vacation in Florida, visiting my in-laws, and we decided that
we enjoyed Florida so much we just packed up the dog and my three teenagers and moved. I had a day-care in my home and enjoyed reading to the children. One day I thought, "I
can do that," so... I got my laptop and started writing about kids...doing things that kids do. My daughters went to church camp when they were little, so I started writing about kids at
camp. My youngest daughter had a hamster, so I threw a hamster into the story. I wrote one book, 'Ridge
Street Church Mouse,' then I wrote another, 'Ridge Street Home,' and now I have just released
my third book 'Ridge Street Prom." Currently I'm working on Book #4, 'Ridge Street
Model.' I have a few more books planned for my 'Ridge Street Series.' The characters in my story just come alive when I write. I hope you enjoy reading about Amanda
Anderson, her friends, and family, as she matures and grows in Somersville, as much as I like writing about
her.
I now have four grandsons.. Austin, Nathan, Rhett and now Jacob... and one grandaughter also
one step-grandaughter. Oh, and soon to-be grandson Kolby Brice in December. Pictured above is my grandaughter Emma
Mae, (3 years old) and my new step-grandaughter Amber (8 years)

Hi everyone. Hope everyone is doing great! I am still working on my fourth book. "Ridge
Street Model" I hope to get it done soon. I just found out that my youngest daughter Tera is having a baby
boy. He is due July 3, 2011, but maybe she will wait and have him on my birthday July 11. She has named
him 'Jacob Dale' ... I like the name Stone Cole, she didn't care for that name. I guess it does sound like
a name out of a romance novel. Oh.. well... I think Jacob is a nice name. I can't wait to meet him.
Smile be happy!

I just found out that my oldest daughter is expecting a baby in January. Her oldest
son Austin is 13, and she has a son who is 11 years old. My youngest daughters baby will be here in about 5 weeks.
Wow! .........
I am still working on my 4th Ridge Street Book.... Ridge Street Model. I hope I can get
it out soon. I had to get a new computer, my grandaughter knocked a glass of milk over on my laptop. I picked it
up and milk was pouring out the bottom.... So I got an hp desktop. It's a touch screen and it is nice... I
love it. I've been looking at the touch screen laptops. They have them now that have a swivel screen. I
have Adobe photoshop and I design my own book covers so a swivel screen laptop would be the berries for that.

Above is a picture of Nathan and Jacob. My daughter gave birth to
her second son today! She named him Jacob Dale. He was born on his big brothers birthday! How weird.
His big brother Nathan Robert was born on this same date 12 years ago. So we celebrated the babies birth and Nathan's
birthday.
